Status of residence (visa)

Procedure

  1. Inquiries and consultations
    Please bring your residence card, passport, and health insurance card with you when you visit our office.
    When you visit, we will also take a photo for your new residence card.

  2. Establishing a means of communication (LINE, WeChat, email, etc.)

  4. Request for initial fee
    The initial fee is 50% of the basic fee + additional fee depending on the difficulty. Payment can be made by bank transfer or cash.
    However, in the following cases, we will charge you the full amount at the start of work.
    ・ When an express fee is required ・ When it is determined at the hearing that there is a high possibility that permission will be denied ・ When changing to a residence status that requires stricter screening (permanent residence, business manager, spouse of a Japanese national, etc.)

  5. Document creation and collection
    We will ask you for the information necessary to prepare the materials, so please reply.
    If you apply in person, we will temporarily hold your residence card and passport before you submit your application.

  6. Apply to immigration
    You will be given the immigration reception number.

  7. Issuance of a certificate for special period of stay application, etc.
    While your application is being reviewed by the immigration bureau, you will be able to stay in Japan for up to two months after the expiration date of your visa, so we will issue you a document certifying that your application is pending.

  8. Permission and receipt of new residence card
    Your previous residence card (and designation card, if you have one) will be temporarily kept     .
    After we receive your new residence card from the Immigration Bureau, we will mail it to you. You can also come to our office.

  9. Remaining balance claim
    The remaining amount is 50% of the basic fee plus revenue stamps.
    Please make payment by bank transfer or cash.

  10. In the unlikely event that your application is not issued or approved, please confirm the reason with the official in charge.
    You can only go to the immigration bureau once to ask the reason for your withdrawal, so I will accompany you to the immigration bureau.
    If you leave it to us, we will provide feedback at a later date.

  • The total fee will be the basic fee + difficulty level fee + revenue stamp fee.

  • The revenue stamp fee (the amount in blue) is to be paid to the Immigration Bureau.

  • The basic fee and difficulty level surcharge include 10% consumption tax.

  • If our organization obtains certificates, etc. on your behalf, a separate fee may be charged.

  • The table of basic fees lists the main cases. Cases not listed will be quoted separately.

  • The fees listed on this page will apply to any assignments accepted after May 1, 2023.
